Performance Fab began when a father, George Bogan, and his son, Shadrick Bogan had the idea to start a metal fabrication shop in Roseburg, Oregon. They got a CCB license, and in March of 2015, officially opened Performance Fab, LLC. In the beginning they worked out of a garage with one welder and one truck.
In 2016, George's son Kody Nunn and his friend Rick "Big Jim" Powell joined the team. The company continued to grow, hiring more employees, and expanding its customer base. Some of Performance Fab's first customers include Jim Thorp Lumber Products, Nordic Veneer and Douglas County Forest Products.
All this growth allowed Performance Fab to establish a fabrication shop at 2885 NE Diamond Lake Blvd in 2017. The company acquired two more trucks and equipped them with tooling and welders. With a fabrication shop and multiple trucks Performance Fab was able to expand their services and take on larger projects. It was during this time that a valuable relationship with Roseburg Forest Products was established.
The time came when George was ready to move onto his next business adventure. Shad continued to manage Performance Fab with the help of his brother Kody managing field projects and his friend Big Jim managing the day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop. It was because of the strong ties between these men that the company continued to grow and expand its services and customer base.
In 2020 it was Shad's turn to move onto his next business adventure. Rick "Big Jim" Powell and Kody Nunn officially became the owners September 1, 2020. Kody continues to manage field projects and train new Millwrights. Big Jim still manages the day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop. The two of them have been able to establish and expand the company.
The company fleet now has five fully outfitted service trucks, a bucket truck, two crane trucks, a 24 ft enclosed trailer and two company vehicles. The fabrication shop operates Monday through Friday, while field projects are performed seven days a week.
